Apologetics
This course equips the Leader with reasons for his faith in accordance with I Peter 3:15 which says,”Always be ready to give reason of the hope that is in you.” Apologetics analyzes the reliability of the New and Old Testaments, messianic and historical prophecies, the resurrection and archaeological studies.
Introduction to Humanities
(Men and Women taught separately)
Men: This class instructs men in hygiene, etiquette, protocol and chivalry; also covers their Biblical roles as protector, provider and guide.
Women: Detailed coverage of Proverbs 31 in pursuit of becoming a virtuous woman. Make-up, clothing, fashion, and color coordination are discussed and applied. This course also emphasizes lifestyle skills in social settings, temperament management, and communication.
Applied Humanities
(Men and Women taught separately)
Men: Designed to give the Leader practical knowledge of electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and auto mechanics. It enables the Leader to do his own home repair work, without the expensive aid of professionals.
Women: Hands-on experience in preparing meals, entertaining, decorating and all the general needs of managing a home.
Family Life
This course teaches the Godly design of the family through understanding the role of the man, woman and child within the family unit. It deals with relationships between the wife, husband, parents and children, extensively discussing methods of child discipline, as well as important marital issues. Students learn by example through the Godly pattern lived out in front of them by staff families.
History of American Government
This course surveys the field of political science with an emphasis on the Christian foundation of America. The Biblical basis for America’s form of government is discussed through exploration of the federal, state and local governments. This course also discusses issues concerning the Constitution, current political trends, Christian activism and how to apply Biblical principles in understanding world events.
History of Christianity
This course begins with the last book of the Old Testament, covering the 400 years before Jesus’ birth, culminating in contemporary times. This course also studies the conception, fetal development and birth of the Body of Christ. The Leaders will develop an appreciation for the miracle of Christianity and a better understanding of the purpose and function of the present day Body of Christ.
Life of Christ
This course takes a look into the life of the greatest man who ever walked the earth. By learning from the Master, Leaders will plunge into the infinite depths of prayer, discover the awesome power of faith, and come to know the greatest King, Jesus Christ, the Son of God intimately.
Management of Life
This course encourages leadership abilities and develops individual potential. Leaders observe their habits, organizational skills, financial skills, mental patterns, and learn time management.
New Testament
This course examines the gospels in light of Jesus as King, Servant, Man, and God. It explores the history and growth of the church through studies of Paul’s epistles. Books are analyzed in the Eschatological, Soteriological, Christological and Ecclesiological categories and special attention is given to see how God’s Word is applicable for today.
Old Testament
This course examines the Old Testament in light of God’s plan of redemption. It also reveals God’s character through the Pentateuch and the writings of the Prophets. Special attention is given to see how God’s Word is applicable for today.
Romans
This course is a detailed study of Paul’s letter to the Romans. This course covers Paul’s foundational teachings of the Gospel of Jesus including mankind’s moral guilt before God, justification by faith, sanctification through union with Christ, Christian life and service, and the outflow of Christian love.
Systematic Theology
This course teaches the practical application of Christian doctrines and their purpose in daily living. Topics include the following: the attributes of God, the deity of Christ, the Trinity, the work of the Holy Spirit, church government views, heaven, hell, demons, angels and spiritual warfare.
Theology of Missions
This course is a survey of worldwide evangelism. This course begins with an intensive study of geopolitical geography, followed by an examination of the history of world evangelism. Includes studies of the lives of William Carey, Hudson Taylor, and other founders of the modern missions era.
Contemporary Culture & Philosophy
This course studies the development of modern Western thought and culture from the early New Testament Christians up to the 20th century United States. This course covers the growth and changes in art and philosophy from a Christian perspective. The primary text is Understanding the Times, which is a comparative analysis of the predominant world views.
Intro to Leadership
Leadership is at the forefront of every major decision. Whether it’s making a move, trying something new, picking a college, starting a business, or making the commitment of marriage, nothing happens without leadership. Introduction to Leadership is structured to increase each Leader’s ability to lead himself or herself, others, and the nation. Through interactive teaching, training, and discussion, this course will develop each Leader’s ability to influence this culture for Christ.
Applied Leadership
The Leaders Academy is all about the next level. This course will continue the process of developing leadership by showing our Leaders that the most effective way to lead is by modeling, molding, and mentoring. Leaders will learn the art of being productive, reproducing their gifts in others, and delegation. This course will cause Leaders to evaluate who they are and what effect they are having on people, and will also motivate them to be someone who makes difference.
