History of Applied Life Ministries

In 1985, Tim Brooks, President and Founder of Applied Life Ministries, and his wife Terri had a vision for this generation of leaders. Their desire was to create an environment where the development of the whole person is made possible as leaders learn to apply God’s Word to their daily lives. Seeing the difficulties this generation faces because of a lack of discipline and mentoring in the spiritual, emotional, or physical areas of their lives, Applied Life Ministries was birthed.

The Vision Begins

In 1985 Tim and Terri began the first semester of ministry. Tim and Terri also began pastoring Christian Ministries Church in 1994, a non-denominational, spirit-filled church that his parents, Don and Hettie Lue Brooks, started in 1972. Now, many years later, Christian Ministries Church has become a prosperous ministry, full of passionate believers, that is impacting its community and the world. Having a ministry and a seasoned ministry staff, Christian Ministries Church became an important part of the vision of ALM.

The Launch of Applied Life Leaders Academy

Leaders Academy is the fulfillment of the vision God gave Tim and Terri in 1985. Now with alumni from Applied Life Ministries teaching, mentoring, and overseeing daily operations, Applied Life Leaders Academy is training and equipping a new generation of world leaders through an intensive discipleship program.
