What are the admission requirements?
Leaders Academy requires a completed admission application, one essay, an official high school transcript or GED, ACT or SAT test scores, letter of recommendation from your Pastor and a character reference. Visit the Apply Online page for more information.
What is the application deadline?
Generally speaking, August 1st; however it is important to submit your application as soon as possible considering there is limited room for each class enrollment.
How will I know that I’ve been accepted?
After you have submitted all the materials required for admission, Leaders Academy will review your application and inform you of an admission decision by mail.
When are your Preview Days?

How much does it cost to attend Leaders Academy?

What scholarships and financial assistance does Leaders Academy offer?
Leaders Academy is a private internship and does not receive funding of any kind from the government, therefore grants and scholarships are not available.
What payment options do I have?
Payments are made by cash, check or credit card to Leaders Academy. Please refer to the Enrollment page for more information.
General Information at Leaders Academy
How many leaders attend Leaders Academy?
Because of our concept of mentoring leaders on an individual basis, Leaders Academy accepts no more than 32 leaders at this time.
Where is Leaders Academy located?
Leaders Academy is located at the north edge of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. See Maps and Directions for additional information.
What is the weather like in Hot Springs?
Hot Springs has moderate winters, and hot summers. The academy only holds school between the fall and spring months so the weather is usually quite comfortable.
Are Leaders Academy students permitted to have vehicles on campus?
Yes, all leaders that are licensed drivers may bring a properly insured vehicle to campus.
How do I schedule a campus visit?
You can do so using Schedule a Visit form, or by contacting the admissions office at 501-624-1952. A typical visit during the school year includes touring the campus, meeting with an Admissions Counselor, attending classes, and/or meeting with a staff leader. Overnight stays on campus may be scheduled also.

How often can I go home?
Leaders are encouraged to be here as often as possible, but home visits are allowed.
Can I have an outside job while at Leaders Academy?
Because of the structure of Leaders Academy leaders are not allowed to have a job while they are enrolled.
How much spending money will I need?
Spending money varies with each individual leader but you can plan on about $200.00 per month minimum.
Campus Life
Where do Leaders Academy leaders live?
All full-time single leaders reside in the gender segregated college dorms.
How are roommate assignments made in the dorms?
You will receive roommate assignments after you are admitted to Leaders Academy. All roommates are paired after the staff have prayerfully considered each applicant for that internship year.
Is there a curfew?
Leaders Academy does have a campus-wide curfew. Sunday through Thursday curfew is at 12:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday curfew is at 2:00 a.m.
Is housing available for married students?
Leaders Academy does not offer housing for married leaders on campus. However, the Hot Springs area has many apartments, townhouses, and homes near campus that are available for rent.
What happens if I experience problems with my roommate?
On-campus dorms encourage open communication between students. We believe dorm life is great preparation for married life. Learning to work through problems is an important part of the maturing process.
How safe is on-campus housing?
Leaders Academy is located on a private 520 acre ranch setting. This provides a very safe environment for its students.
Do I have to live in the campus dorms?
If you are a full-time student, you are required to live in the college dorms. Dorm life is a rich and rewarding experience.
Are there meal plans available?
Leaders Academy provides a cafeteria/kitchen that is equipped with refrigerators, a stove, an oven, microwave ovens, pantry space, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, etc… Each leader is expected to purchase their own food and prepare their own meals. We see this as a good teaching tool to prepare students for adult life.
Is there a dress code?
Leaders should remember to reflect the Christian nature of the Academy when dressing for classes, social activities, athletic events, and ministry. No clothing that advertises or promotes the use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or coarse language will be permitted.
Are students required to attend chapel?
Leaders Academy does not hold weekly chapels. However, all leaders are required to attend Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night worship services.
Is telephone service available?
No. There is no phone service available at the dorms. If a leader wishes to have access to a phone, he or she may bring a cell phone.
Where can I do laundry?
There is a coin operated laundry room available on campus.
What size sheets should I buy?
The standard dorm mattress is Twin.
Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed in the dorms except aquarium fish. This is only permissible if your room mate agrees.

What medical services are offered on campus?
No medical services are offered on campus other than common household medications. Medical services are available just a few miles from campus.
Technology
Do I need a computer?
All leaders are required to bring a computer and a printer. A laptop is what we recommend but desktop computers are also allowed.
Is internet access available in the dorms?
Leaders Academy does provide the leaders with internet access that is available for free use in our dorms.
